Student will differentiate between the “ch” “tr” and “dr” sounds

Student will spell 75 high frequency and/ or irregular sight words

Student will spell 100 high frequency and/ or irregular sight words

When given pictures of objects that have short and long vowel sounds the student will sort them accordingly

Student will indicate if a spoken word contains a long or short vowel sound

Student will state which letter to change in a given word, and what letter to replace it with to create a new word

Students will tap out the sounds of letters to form a word.

Student will read a sheet that contains a variety of vowel sounds in isolation

Student will state how many syllables are in a given word

When reading a word the student will draw a line between the syllables in each word
