Student will draw a representation of a mixed number

Students will read fractions using part words (i.e. ¾ = three quarters, 1/8 = 1 eighth)

Student will explain that a fraction is a part of a whole

Student will label the numerator and denominator of a fraction and state each represents

When given a fraction the student will draw a corresponding picture

When give a picture representing a fraction the student will write the fraction

The student will place fractions on a number line
