When presented with multiple word problems the student will determine whether to add or subtract, form the equation and solve the problem

When presented with a word problem with extraneous information the student will state which information is relevant to solving the problem

When presented with a word problem that requires addition the student will draw a picture depicting the problem, write the equation and solve it

When presented with a word problem that requires subtraction the student will draw a picture depicting the problem, write the equation and solve it
