Student will read compound words
Student will read short stories containing words with the following sounds: ay, ey, y, ly
Student will read words containing the “dge” sound
Student will read words with closed syllables (end in a consonant – i.e. picnic)
Student will read words containing the “oo” sound
Student will read nonsense words containing the soft “g” and the “dge” sounds
Students will read words with open syllables (end in a vowel – hotel)
Student will read words containing the “ou” sound as in mouse
Student will read short stories containing words with soft “g” and “dge” sounds
Student will read words with suffixes (i.e. happiness)
