Student will label a minus sign and explain its function

Student will explain the concept of subtraction

Student will subtract numbers whose minuend (1st number) is no greater than 5 with the use of manipulatives

Student will count spaces on a bar graph and indicate the total of each section

Student will represent the number of tens and ones in a given number with a variety of objects (i.e. unifix cubes, base ten blocks, drawing)

Student will add numbers whose sum equals 10 or less with the use of a number line

Student will compare and contrast results displayed on a bar graph

Student will fill in a place value chart when presented with a 2 digit number
