When reading a word the student will draw a line between the syllables in each word

Student will differentiate between open and closed syllables and explain why the syllable falls into each category

Student will differentiate between words containing the or, ar sounds

Student will differentiate between words that contain the two “oo” sounds (i.e. look, pool)

The students will differentiate between words that contain th “oo” “ou/ow” sounds (i.e. pool, out/town)

Students will differentiate between words that contain the “ou” and “au/aw” sounds

Student will differentiate between the “ch” and “sh” sounds

Student will differentiate between the “ch” “tr” and “dr” sounds
